o The Stakeholder Directors Program combines current knowledge of compliance and board governance issues with the experience of individuals who have helped their boards and organizations to realize the positive values of stakeholder governance. We provide our fellows with domestic and global corporate governance models, best practices in processes and tools, a framework to comprehend regulations, laws, and risks that define the context within which strategic decisions are made. Our program is anchored with a world-class faculty who are operators and governance experts. The program lectures and governance case studies are taken from the experiences of private and public companies listed on Nasdaq and NYSE.
o The case study is a principle learning strategy of the Directors Program. Faculty reinforce lectures with real world case studies addressing present and future governance challenges.
o SLGI Fellows will be assigned to a publicly traded company for whom the Fellow will write an original case study. Fellows will defend their completed study before a review committee of 3 faculty members. The review committee will mentor each Fellow, guiding them towards a complete study that the Fellow will present to the executive management of the assigned company. A successful defense of the completed study is a requirement for graduation.
o The case study will demonstrate your knowledge of the company’s industry, markets, strategy, customers, competitors, investors, talent, culture, risks, supply chain, and digital transformation. Using the study, you will have the opportunity to convince the board of possible blind spots, a flawed strategy, or an unseen opportunity. Your insights may garner the attention of the Lead Director, Chair-of-the-Board, and CEO and convince them that you would be the right candidate for their board or advisory board.
